Wheaton Regional Park marks the northern end of the Sligo Trail. This park provides a whole slew of family activities from tennis and train rides to ice skating and swing sets. There is also a fairly elaborate collection of paved trails through the wooded park. (though none are off-road).
The last mile or so is the only on-road section (quiet back streets).
I prefer the dotted route along Orebaugh over the "official" route.
Use caution crossing Arcola Ave, just before the park.
