This is a tour of the "cascading suburban sprawl" around the Sterling, Va area. Not much on scenery, but it does offer fairly easy terrain. There is a fair amount of on-road riding, so you need to be confortable with riding in traffic.

The last time I rode this, it was around 7:00 pm and traffic was reasonable. However, a significant amount of development has occured since I last did this route (Summer 97) so traffic is probably more of a problem these days. Side paths are available along the busier roads, but these tend to be poorly designed or disjointed (what else is new).
