Montgomery Lake Tour

Here is a nice tour of the various lakes around central Montgomery County This route mostly follows residential streets and side trails. It takes you past Lake Needwood and follows the Rock Creek Trail for a few miles.

The only trouble spot is the 0.4 mile section along Shady Grove Road, which is a shoulderless divided highway. I find this section is not bad early Saturday or Sunday, but you should avoid during peek traffic hours. The route will also take you past Seneca Creek State Park which has some great off-road ATB trails around the lake (accessable from Longdraft Road).
